The ukulele is an easy to learn and fun to play instrument. Through learning a few simple chords and some basic rhythms you can play hundreds of songs.

You Ukes, Godalming's own Ukulele Group, have donated a Soprano Ukulele to the Library of Things. When you borrow this ukulele you can download (see below) the You Ukes Absolute Beginners Guide to the Ukulele. In this guide you will be introduced to the ukulele (it's only polite) and you will discover how to tune, hold and strum your ukulele. The guide introduces you to some very simple chords: C and Am; and some other basic chords: Dm, F and G. In addition, you will find about some basic rhythms.
