Borrow 21 Hook Darning Loom

This beginner-friendly darning tool helps you quickly darn over a hole, stain or threadbare areas on jeans, t-shirts, socks and more!

With 'traditional' darning you have to concentrate on weaving over and under individual vertical threads, but with a simple 'swish' of the hooks the darning loom will do that part of the process for you. By simplifying the weaving process it makes mending more relaxing and enjoyable, especially for beginners.

The 21-hook darning loom is best for repairing small and medium holes (up to 6.5cm in diameter) in everyday clothing including jeans, t-shirts and fine knitwear. You can use as many hooks as you want to mend small, medium & large holes. 

You can even have the same effect as a 10-hook loom by only using every other hook, but bear in mind the larger disk can make it tricky to darn some smaller areas e.g. tiny sleeves, legs and socks.

The wooden disk has an organic smooth, domed surface on one side and flat surface underneath to best suit the area you’re darning.

21-Hook Loom
Best for: repairing small and medium size holes (up to 6.5cm in diameter) in everyday clothing including jeans, t-shirts and fine knitwear (as above). 

10-Hook Loom (or using every other hook on this 21-hook loom)
Best for: repairing small holes (up to 4cm in diameter) in chunky knitwear, heavy denim and other fabrics of a similar weight. The 10-Hook model has slightly wider spaces between each hook to enable you to darn with thicker yarn and create a looser woven patch.
