Borrow 2 tonne hydraulic trolley jack

o use the Halfords 2 Tonne Hydraulic Trolley Jack:

1. Before First Use (Purging Air):

Open the release valve by turning the handle counter-clockwise one full turn. 

Place the handle in the handle socket and pump about 4 full strokes to purge air from the pump and valving. 

Close the release valve. 

Pump the handle until the jack reaches full extension, then pump several more times to purge air from under the ram. 

Open the release valve and lower the ram to its lowest position. 

Close the release valve, and the jack is ready for normal operation. 

2. Lifting a Vehicle:

Ensure the load point is centred on the jack saddle to prevent slipping and instability. 

Place the jack under a strong, stable jacking point on the vehicle (refer to your vehicle's owner's manual for recommended jacking points). 

Pump the handle to raise the vehicle to the desired height. 

Immediately: support the vehicle by placing properly rated axle stands under a strong, stable point on the vehicle, consulting both the vehicle owner's manual and the axle stand instruction manual for guidance. 

Never: crawl under a vehicle supported only by a jack. 

3. Lowering a Vehicle:

Once the axle stands are properly located, slowly turn the pole section of the handle anti-clockwise to lower the vehicle onto the stands.
