Borrow Pickaxe

Pickaxe, also commonly referred to as a pick mattock or simply a pick. 

Uses:

Breaking up hard surfaces:

The pointed end is ideal for breaking up rocks, concrete, compacted soil, or other hard ground. 

Digging and excavation:

It's used for digging trenches, preparing soil for planting, or general excavation work. 

Removing roots and clearing the ground:

The chisel or adze-like end can be used for cutting through roots or clearing vegetation.
