First manufactured April of 1976 thru 1984. The AE-1 was the first microprocessor-equipped SLR and created a stir in the camera market because of its record-breaking sales of 5.7 million units.
Key features of the Canon AE-1:
•FD Lens mount
• Shutter speeds: X, B, 2, 1, 1/2, 1/4, 1/8, 1/15, 1/30, 1/60, 1/125, 1/250, 1/500, 1/1000 sec. All speeds controlled electronically.
• TTL full-aperture metering with shutter speed-priority AE or TTL stopped-down match needle manual metering (center-weighted averaging).
•ISO Film speed range from ISO 25 to 3200.
