The FT-b was first manufactured in March 1971, and replaced the Canon FT QL. It’s compatible with both Canon FD lens mount and their earlier FL lens mount. It was released alongside Canon’s top-of-the-line F-1 and was the mass market camera in that range.
Key features of the Canon FT-b:
•FD Lens mount
• Shutter speeds: X, B, 1, 1/2, 1/4, 1/8, 1/15, 1/30, 1/60, 1/125, 1/250, 1/500, 1/1000 sec.
•CdS cell for TTL full-aperture, match-needle partial metering at center or TTL stopped-down, match-needle partial metering at center
•ISO Film speed range from ISO 25 to 2000.
•Film loading: QL (Quick Loading) and auto loading after camera back is closed.
