Charnwood Eco Hub Gains Popularity

Congratulations to Charwood Eco Hub for the increased popularity of their Library of Things!
"We’ve started the new year with a brilliant upsurge in Library of Things memberships, and it’s been wonderful to welcome so many new faces through the doors. Perhaps it’s the time of year — with New Year’s resolutions inspiring people to try more eco-friendly, low-waste ways of living — or maybe it’s thanks to the fantastic work of our social media superstar Sarah, spreading the word far and wide. It could also be the result of Charnwood Eco Hub being featured in Ethical Consumer magazine’s Directory of Libraries of Things. Whatever the reason, it’s clear that more people are choosing to borrow rather than buy, saving money, reducing waste and sharing resources within the community. Thank you to everyone who has joined us — and to our volunteers who make it all possible."

We're excited to share on behalf of Los Angeles Tool Library that they are hosting an opening celebration:
📍 Immanuel Presbyterian Church, 3300 Wilshire Blvd., Los Angeles, CA 90010
📅 Saturday, January 24th, during the day (exact time TBD)
Join them to celebrate their launch and discover how a tool library can help you build, fix, create, and connect with neighbours. Everyone is welcome, bring a friend.
You can support their launch by becoming a founding member before the opening day. Founding memberships help them reach our fundraising goal of $10,000, to expand their inventory and repair donated tools.
Good luck for the opening celebration, Los Angeles Tool Library!

We have just launched the first lending lockers in the South West!
We're excited to share that the library lockers are now open, with a selection of 23 items to borrow instead of buy. The lockers are in a new location, separate from the Share and Repair Hub, offering access to the library of things to residents in a different area of Bath.
As this is a new development for us, we have soft-launched and will be making announcements on our social media in the new year.

West Philadelphia Tool Library has found a new location and the team is planning to reopen by the 1st of December!
They have over 1300 members and over 5000 tools, so it will be a big job to move, and they will appreciate any support they can get! Donations of time, money or construction materials would help them out a lot.
For more information and how to help, follow the link and see how their move is progressing:
